You likely came to this page as the managerial page of one of the rings managed by GENESSA. You will find special join notes for that ring on this page, or on a page linked to it, as well as such notes for all the other rings managed by GENESSA.
GENESSA manages a lot of WebRings at WebRing. Although it is not against WebRing rules to use a WebRings or Links page as the registered page in a particular ring, it is against GENESSA's rules, for a variety of reasons. So why in the world does GENESSA have a WebRings page?
Well, for one thing, WebRing will show no more than 30 managed WebRings (and 30 WebRing memberships, many of which will, naturally, also be managed rings) on any one page, be it a profile page, where one might naturally look to see which rings a particular member manager, or an account page, from which one might like to manage one's rings. If a manager has more than 30 rings, too bad. No one will know about them without stumbling upon them (or receiving an invitation). For another, it isn't a bad idea for a ring to have a manager's page, official or, as in this case, unofficial.
Hence this collection of pages, where one can easily see all the rings managed by GENESSA, plus any we join as WebRing managers (don't worry: all the NavBars for GENESSA's rings have "by Genessa" (or in one case, "by Genessa18") on them; if you don't see that, then it's a membership for this page, in a WebRing about managing WebRings, which is the only kind of WebRing that should accept a "WebRings" page!
(Of course this means GENESSA will have to join all our own WebRings with this page, in order to show the NavBars here. We suppose a "manager's page" of sorts would not be out of order.)

The 1950s saw the birth of rock, Pop and Soul, and the 1960s was the greatest decade in Pop music History -- and the only decade in which Pop merged with other forms and was as concerned with art as they were. The sixties culture also produced fabulous fashions and marvelous movies. TV was in its golden age and sometimes could be seen in "living color." Social upheaval also marked these times, and from those times come the times we live in now, for better or for worse, and some of the era's achievements (civil rights for various groups, for example) are undeniably for the better.
